ABOUT THE ROLE

The Retail Lending Operations Manager oversees the end-to-end loan operations process, ensuring the highest standards of efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction are met. This role is responsible for managing loan processing, disbursements, collections, and operational risk controls across retail lending products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure retail loan operations are managed in an effective, efficient and compliant manner.
• Develop and implement policies, to comply with internal risk standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor loan portfolio performance, identify operational bottlenecks, and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with sales, credit, and risk teams to align workflows with business objectives.
• Train, mentor, and supervise operations staff to enhance productivity and service quality.
• Drive automation and digital initiatives to streamline loan processing and improve customer experience.
• Compile various reports, including – loan book growth, delinquency trends, and operational efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field, a Master’s qualification is an advantage.
• At least 7 years work experience in retail lending or financial operations, with more than 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of loan products, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in financial systems and Excel-based dashboards.
