Overview

We are looking for a motivated Retail Sales Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible to support customers, drive sales, manage transactions, and maintain store presentation to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist customers and promote sales.
- Process card and cash transactions, issue receipts, wrap purchases.
- Provide to customers, product information including features, benefits and pricing.
- Manage returns, exchanges, and warranty services and offer discounts at management’s discretion.
- Manage the store operations and inventory, monitor inventory levels, restock shelves, and ensure
products are properly displayed.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and presentation of the store, including window displays and
promotional setups.
- Order new merchandise and escalate issues or customer complaints to management for resolution.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

-Essential skills include excellent customer service, effective communication, problem-solving, and
teamwork.
- Familiarity with store policies, product knowledge, and sales techniques such as cross-selling and
upselling is important.
- Soft skills like patience, confidence, and the ability to build rapport with customers are highly
valued.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Proficiency in English.
- Basic math skills.
- Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash registers.
- Previous experience in retail sales or similar role.
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
