POSITION VACANCY: ROLLER OPERATORS

Reinhold Engineering and Group of Companies Limited is a nationally owned civil works and building construction company based in Port Moresby. We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious Roller Operators to support earthworks and pavement construction.

About the Role

You will operate compaction equipment to achieve specified compaction requirements under the direction of site supervisors and in coordination with QA/QC teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Compact subgrade, fill, subbase and basecourse materials as directed.

• Follow approved rolling patterns, passes, speeds and vibration settings.

• Coordinate with supervisors, graders, water carts and testing personnel.

• Report unsuitable material conditions, soft spots and compaction concerns.

• Complete pre-start checks and report equipment defects.

• Maintain safe operating distances, particularly near edges, slopes and other plant.

• Record operating hours and complete required equipment records.

Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrated roller operating experience on earthworks or road construction projects.

• Relevant operator competency certification or evidence of training.

• Applicable licences and site authorisations for assigned duties.

• Practical understanding of compaction methods and material conditions.

• Ability to carry out pre-start inspections and routine operator care.

• Good awareness of slopes, edges and changing ground conditions.

• Ability to follow instructions and coordinate with site teams.
