We are currently seeking to recruit:

SAFETY MANAGER

Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in safety.
• At least 5 years’ experience in OH&S at operational level in a large-scale organisation, preferably multi-site.
• Professional communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence at management level.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety statutory requirements, regulations, codes of practice and guidelines, and the ability to translate and apply these to a work environment.
• Energy, enthusiasm and passion to work as part of a team.
• Good Analytical Skills with an eye for detail.
• Be able to work in a team environment/under strict deadlines.

Duties:

• Develop, execute and implement health and safety Plans in the workshop according to legal guidelines.
• Provision of expert safety and wellbeing advice and technical support to line management.
• Identification of issues impacting safety and wellbeing at sites.
• Compiling Safe Work Method statements, Standard Operating Procedures and various other reporting.
• Managing Workers’ Compensation claims and injury management processes.
• Investigation of any issues identified as a result of audits and day-to-day operational activities.
• Operational tasks including incident investigations, risk assessments and delivering health and safety training programs.
• Maintaining, updating and managing emergency response plans and evacuation procedures.
