Job Description: Sales Representative – ZKTeco Products
Position Overview
The Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting, marketing, and selling the full range of ZKTeco security and biometric products, including time‑attendance systems, access control devices, smart locks, and related solutions. This role requires a proactive, target‑driven individual who can build strong client relationships, identify opportunities, and convert leads into revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Promote and market ZKTeco products to new and existing clients.
- Identify potential customers across corporate, retail, hospitality, and government sectors.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and client visits.
- Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and sales reports.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long‑term customer relationships.
- Provide product information, recommendations, and after‑sales support.
- Follow up on leads, inquiries, and pending quotations.
- Coordinate with the technical team for installations, support, and product training.
Market Research & Product Positioning
- Monitor competitor products and pricing.
- Identify market trends and customer needs.
- Recommend strategies to improve product visibility and market share.
Administrative & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipelines, and customer interactions.
- Submit weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
- Ensure proper documentation for orders, deliveries, and invoicing.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Essential
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in ICT, security, or electronic products.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Basic technical understanding of biometric devices, access control, and networking.
- Ability to explain technical products in simple terms.
- Highly motivated, target‑oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license (advantageous for client visits).
Desirable
- Experience selling ZKTeco, Hikvision, Dahua, Suprema, or similar brands.
- Existing client network in corporate or government sectors.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting systems.

Company Description: Able started in Perth Western Australia in 1982 by Rick Kyle and Nick Taylor and moved to Papua New Guinea in 1984. In 1985, Able Computing (PNG) was incorporated by Geoff Lazberger with Rick/Nick and several others became individual shareholders in the company. Geoff Lazberger ran the company as CEO until 1989 when he left to return to Australia. The initial list of clients around the country used either accounting software CBA or Arrow. The company was awarded national distributorship for both CBA and Arrow and I had also built up a dealership with companies having large clients bases who’d be a target for our software (Deloitte, Coopers & Lybrand, Daltron, etc,)
