Monier Limited, the single largest producer, supplier and distributer of construction materials and building products in PNG is seeking to recruit suitably qualified and highly motivated individual for the following position:

Sales Representative

The sales representative is responsible for achieving maximum sales through the company’s products and services following standard operational procedures for the sales office division in providing customer service and closing a sale.

Duties include;

• Provide customer with relevant product information, prompt assistant and excellent post customer service.
• Processing of orders from walk-in customers, by telephone and email ensuring information provided is accurate and complete. Quote prices, and prepare dispatch order and dispatch notes for customer orders.
• Establish and maintain current and potential client relationship.
• Attend and manage customer service through quality checks and follow-up.
• Identify and expedite the resolution of customer problems and complains.
• Coordinate sales effort with credit, logistics, production and technical service groups.
• Responds to email and phone inquiries regarding products prices, specifications from customers.
• Provide report on quotations and dispatch orders process on a daily basis.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Diploma in business, sales and marketing or equivalent.
• Three to four years’ previous work experience in sales and/or construction materials, or relevant experience.
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person
• Self-motivated and self-directed
• Basic computer skills, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel skills, etc.
• Strong negotiation skills, with ability to follow-through on client contracts
• High level of computer literacy in MS suite of applications.
