Position Vacant: Sales Representative

Function: Sales

Location: Arawa - Autonomous Region of Bougainville

We have an immediate requirement for a Sales Representative to join our Sales Team based in Arawa, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager.

Main duties include:

• Ensure all safety audits are completed and fall within acceptable guidelines.
• Identify and establish a distributor network and manage the general performance of customers within the assigned region.
• Identify opportunities for placement of container stores or taverns to support route to market objectives.
• Ensure established distributors and container operators comply with SP Brewery’s agreement terms.
• Execution of customized promotions and local ground activities with post evaluation results.
• Ensure all customers consistently carry the full SP Brewery portfolio of products.
• Ensure that recommended wholesale and retail pricing is compliant and in line with SP Brewery’s indexed pricing guidelines.
• Monitor product quality throughout the region and ensure that preventative plans and measures are in place to avoid issues.
• Compile sales reports and ensure they are submitted on time.
• Develop outlet specific customer volume driving activities where required to enhance trade standards, sales and customers relationships.
• Manage all aspects of local distribution and administration requirements.
• Ensure that all parties (customer, customer service, credit, and logistics) are acutely aware of orders.
• Manage the daily shipping schedule or vessel position reports to ensure timely order securing by reps, clearance through customer service and loading or dispatch by logistics to meet regional customer requirements.
• Manage all point-of-sale material requirements for the region in conjunction with Marketing.
• Provide market intelligence on competitor activities and threats to trading and submit detailed reports and evidence through to management.
• Liaise with the Regional Provincial Police Commanders and Regional Provincial Liquor Licensing executives in relevant matters as required by the Corporate Affairs Manager.
• Work with bottle buyers to locate and collect targeted volume of recycled bottles for return to SP Brewery.
• Ensure the company’s cold beer equipment assets are utilized effectively by having the correct equipment in each outlet to maximize sales of cold beer.
• Liaise with the Trade Services supervisor and coordinate requirements for repairs of cold beer equipment and ensure
• Preventative maintenance work is completed
• Plan forward all cold beer equipment by brand or model to meet assigned territory requirements.
• Ensure that all container and pop-up stores within assigned territory are being utilized effectively and deliver profitable returns for the business. This includes management around rentals, cold beer equipment, licensing, generators, and additional equipment.
• Demonstrate preventative and proactive behavior towards safety and ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures.

Qualification and Experience:

• Must have 2-3 years of experience working in FMCG.
• Must have a valid class 3 or 6 driver’s license.
• Must possess strong communications and planning skills.
• Previous work experience in Bougainville will be an advantage.
