Job Title: Sales Representative

Department: Retail Sales

Location: Port Moresby, National Capital District & Lae, Morobe Province.

Reports to: Sales Manager

Business Unit: Carpenter Retail and Property T/A Courts

Job Overview:

We are seeking experienced Sales person for our Port Moresby and Lae Courts branches. The Sales Representative will attend to customer queries and explain the product specification to clients. The Sales Representative will also assist in displaying and arranging sales items at the selling area.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve customers by helping them select products.
• Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
• Greet and receive customers in a welcoming manner.
• Responds to customer queries.
• Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters.
• Document sales by creating or updating customer profile records.
• Alert management of potential security issues.
• Assist with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
• Keep clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest.

Required Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

• Preferred Grade 12 certificate or Certificate and Sales & Marketing is a bonus.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Sales Representative in retail industry.
• Excellent communication, written and oral presentation skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and MS Software preferred Microsoft Excel.
