Summary

The role is responsible for overseeing all areas managed by Security Compliance and Safety Officers, including fleet security, corporate security, and OSH/risk management. This position ensures that all security and safety operations are compliant with relevant standards, effectively managing risks and maintaining high standards of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). The individual will coordinate activities, provide guidance, and ensure consistent implementation of safety protocols across the organization. Depending on the organizational needs, the focus on specific areas may vary, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Supervision:
    • Supervise and provide direction to Security Compliance and Safety Officers.
    • Coordinate and oversee the daily activities of security and safety personnel.
    • Ensure consistency in the implementation of security and safety protocols across all departments.
    • Prioritize and shift focus between fleet security, corporate security, and OSH/risk management based on current organizational requirements.
  • Compliance:
    • Oversee the compliance of all security and safety operations with relevant standards and regulations.
    • Conduct regular compliance audits and inspections across various departments.
    • Ensure up-to-date maintenance of compliance documentation and policies.
  • Risk Management and OSH:
    • Supervise the development and implementation of OSH policies and procedures.
    • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard analyses across all operational areas.
    • Oversee investigations of incidents and accidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
    • Ensure all project sites and company premises are set up and maintained within OSH standards.
    • Supervise the works to ensure compliance with OSH standards and report immediately to the manager if any site or premise does not meet the required standards.
  • Training and Development:
    • Develop and coordinate comprehensive training programs for security and safety officers.
    • Organize regular drills and emergency response training sessions.
    • Provide ongoing professional development opportunities for the team.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of security incidents, safety inspections, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
    • Prepare and present detailed reports on security and safety performance to senior management.
    • Ensure all documentation is compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordination and Communication:
    • Act as the primary point of contact between security and safety officers and senior management.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between different departments and teams.
    • Coordinate with external security agencies and law enforcement as necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Occupational Safety, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in security and safety management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant safety and security standards and regulations.
  • Experience in policing, security, or military preferred.
  • Martial arts skills preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to drive.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage and coordinate multiple projects and teams.
  • Flexibility to adapt and prioritize assignments in different areas as organizational needs change.

This role may require working in shifts, including nights and weekends. The supervisor may need to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours. The working environment can be remote and may involve high-risk areas. The individual must be prepared to travel to various project sites and company premises as required to ensure compliance with OSH standards.
