To support our growing workforce and expanding operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Security Trainer to lead and enhance our training function. The Security Trainer is responsible for developing, updating, and delivering comprehensive security training and competency programs to all security personnel at TSI.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and update training curriculum, manuals, presentations, and practical assessments for various levels of security staff.
• Ensure training content specifically covers standard security operations, including procedures for Zone Roving Security Supervisor positions.
• Regularly review and incorporate all relevant PNG regulatory and client-specific security requirements into the curriculum.
• Conduct engaging, effective, and compliant theoretical (classroom) and practical training sessions.
• Lead practical drills and scenario-based exercises, including conflict resolution, first aid, emergency protocols, and appropriate use of force.
• Manage training logistics, resources, and schedules to ensure efficient and timely delivery to all personnel.
• Implement rigorous testing and evaluation methods (written exams, practical performance, and on-the-job assessments) to accurately measure and certify trainee competence.
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of all training activities, trainee results, and certifications for auditing and compliance purposes.
• Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to trainees, promoting adherence to the company standards of professionalism and discipline.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in designing and delivering training, preferably within the security, military, or law enforcement sectors.
• Proven experience in training staff in remote or challenging environments, ideally within PNG or the Pacific region.
• Demonstrated ability to manage training compliance and reporting across multiple security sites/zones.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills; fluency in English and Tok Pisin is highly advantageous.
• Exceptional organizational skills, including proficiency in scheduling, documentation, and utilizing IT tools for record-keeping.
• Ability to instill discipline, professionalism, and teamwork among trainees.
• A high degree of integrity and commitment to fostering a safe and high-performing security team.
• Formal certification in Training and Assessment (e.g., Cert IV or equivalent international standard) is highly desirable.
• Current security industry licensing and/or relevant certifications recognized in PNG.
• Certifications in specialized training areas (e.g., First Aid Instructor, Defensive Driving, or Fire Safety) are a significant asset.
