Position Title: Senior Accounts Officer

Overview

We’re seeking a motivated Senior Accounts Officer to join our Administration team. You will support the Financial Controller in managing the daily financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting, timely reporting, effective internal controls, and compliance with applicable PNG statutory and tax requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in preparation of monthly management and financial reports, including variance analysis.
- Manage general ledger, bank, supplier, customer, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivables, and timely processing of payments.
- Ensure compliance with PNG tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with audit processes and ensure timely resolution of audit queries.
- Support commodity procurement, inventory, costing, and operational finance activities.
- Identify control weaknesses and recommend improvements.
- Perform any other finance-related responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Qualification, Skills and Experience

-CPA member in Papua New Guinea or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- More than 4 years experience in accounting and finance preferably in a commercial, manufacturing,
agricultural, trading, or export environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting practices.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications.
