About the role

The successful person will lead and coordinate our recruitment team ensuring a great recruitment experience for applicants and hiring managers. Partnering with key internal stakeholders you will provide the effective recruitment services required for the delivery of the employee life cycle.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

  • Support the HR Manager with the development of the annual recruitment budget and plan using the manning plan outcomes and input from relevant departments.
  • Setting direction and leading the Team and actively promoting a safe and healthy culture.
  • Ensuring targeted attraction and retention plans are in place to support the recruitment, development, and retention of highly effective employees.
  • Actively establishing a high-performance culture by motivating employees to achieve a high level of performance and by rewarding and recognising high performance.
  • Ensuring appropriate and targeted people systems are in place in support the delivery of the overall operational business plan and strategy.
  • Develop appropriate social media to be used as sourcing tools and candidate database information.
  • Ensure end to end recruitment services are provided for hiring managers including but not limited to advertising of roles, selection criteria, screening of applicants, interviews pre – employment assessments.
  • Supporting hiring managers in the recruitment process, providing coaching where necessary and being a member of the interview panel.
  • Ensure Hiring Managers are provided with regular status reports on recruitment activities.
  • In conjunction with the Community Relations Team, ensure all candidates within the local areas have been mapped and recorded in the appropriate database to provide clear sight of labour availability within the local communities.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is preferred that you must have a tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or equivalent. You must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in similar roles. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

  • Possess current Class 6 driver’s license.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office suite, especially excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Strong active listening &interpersonal skills for rapport building, conflict resolution and training.
