Summary

The Senior Architect is central to the conceptualization, design, and execution of architectural projects. Their role is enhanced by their proficiency in BIM modeling using Navisworks and Revit, which aids in creating detailed and accurate architectural designs. They are responsible for developing architectural plans, coordinating with engineering teams, and ensuring design compliance with relevant codes and regulations. The Senior Architect utilizes their BIM expertise to oversee the architectural aspects of construction projects, ensuring a harmonious blend of aesthetic appeal and functional design, while mentoring junior architects and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the conceptualization and design phases of architectural projects, ensuring a balance between aesthetics and functionality.
  • Develop comprehensive architectural plans and specifications that meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Utilize BIM software, particularly Navisworks and Revit, for advanced modeling, visualization, and analysis of architectural designs.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate architectural designs with structural, MEP, and civil components.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes, as well as adherence to sustainability and environmental guidelines.
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior architects and designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Manage client relationships, presenting designs and proposals, and gathering feedback for iterative development.
  • Oversee the architectural aspects of construction projects, from initial design through to completion, ensuring quality and design integrity.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in architectural design, with a proven track record in leading large-scale projects.
  • Strong proficiency in BIM tools such as Navisworks and Revit, with a portfolio demonstrating advanced modeling capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and client relationships.
  • Knowledge of current architectural trends, materials, and construction techniques.
  • Registered Architect (RA) or similar professional accreditation preferred.
