Our Lihir operation in PRC – Projects & Development is now recruiting for the position of Senior Metallurgist.

As a Senior Metallurgist, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical support for the activities within grinding, flotation, pressure oxidation, CCDs, CIL, and elution areas to maximize the gold recovery process. This role will assist operational and maintenance personnel, identify, and implement improvements, and help Processing Superintendents develop project charters and business cases for these initiatives.

The preferred candidate must hold a Tertiary bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing, Metallurgy or similar, complemented by 7+ years of working experience in mineral processing plants. Your proactive approach will contribute to ensure plant stability and optimum metallurgical performance of Process Operations, Production Metallurgy, SAOC and Process Control teams using data analysis, evaluating metallurgical performance of circuits, equipment, and existing systems.
