Position Goal

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bank, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and exceptional customer service. This role involves managing a team of operations staff, developing and implementing operational policies, and collaborating with other departments to achieve the bank’s strategic goals.

Key Result Areas

  1. Operational Management:
    • Provide support to daily banking operations to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
    • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity and compliance.
    • Monitor and analyze operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  1. Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Collaborate with Banking operations to ensure all banking operations comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
    • Support with Implementing and managing risk assessment processes to minimize financial and operational risks.
    • Liaise with auditors, regulators, and other external parties to ensure compliance and address any operational issues.
  1. Team Leadership:
    • Manage, train, and evaluate the performance of the operations team to ensure high performance and professional development.
    • Foster a positive work environment and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring effective workload management.
  1. Customer Service:
    • Oversee customer service operations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Work closely with Banking Business to a address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively concerning Operations.
    • Collaborate with Banking Business to implement strategies to improve customer service and enhance the overall customer experience.
  1. Financial Management:
    • Develop & Manage the operational budget, ensuring cost efficiency and resource optimization.
    • Monitor financial transactions and reports, identifying discrepancies and taking corrective action as needed.
    • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting and budgeting.
  1. Project Management:
    • Lead and manage operational projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
    • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate cross-functional initiatives and resolve operational issues.
    • Implement new technologies and systems to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • roven experience as a bank operations manager or in a similar role.

Skills and abilities

  • Proficiency in MS Office and banking software systems.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
