The Opportunity

This is a chance for an experienced corporate banker to relocate permanently to Port Moresby and take on a client-facing role with genuine influence over portfolio growth and credit strategy. We are especially keen to hear from Mandarin/Chinese-speaking candidates who are looking for an exciting new chapter and are open to making Port Moresby their permanent home.

You'll work closely with a growing base of corporate clients, many with strong trade and investment ties to Greater China, making language and cultural fluency a genuine advantage in this role.

The Role — What You'll Be Doing

• Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value corporate clients, acting as their primary point of contact for lending, trade finance and treasury needs
• Structure and negotiate complex lending transactions, including term loans, working capital, asset finance and project finance
• Evaluate credit proposals, financial statements and risk factors, preparing high-quality credit applications in line with bank policy
• Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance and early warning signals to safeguard loan book quality
• Partner with Credit, Legal, Operations and product specialists to deliver smooth deal execution and an exceptional client experience

About You

• 7+ years of corporate banking experience, with strong exposure to lending and credit analysis
• Fluent in Mandarin/Chinese and English, comfortable operating across both languages in a client-facing capacity
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Banking, Business, Accounting or a related field (master's an advantage)
• Strong financial analysis, deal structuring and negotiation skills, with sound commercial judgment
• Genuinely open to relocating permanently to Port Moresby.
