SENIOR RESEARCH ANALYST – MONETARY POLICY UNIT, ECONOMICS DEPARTMENT
Reports To: Manager – Monetary Policy Unit, Economics Department
The primary role of Senior Research Analyst is to effectively and efficiently assist in managing and leading Research and Analysis to inform policy decisions. The incumbent will collect and analyze data, do trend analysis using statistical methods, develop economic models for estimating and forecasting macroeconomic variables, and present findings to help guide the Bank of PNG and government agencies by assessing the impact of policies, and providing recommendations for policy changes.
Education/Qualification/Experiences/Skills/Competencies
- Post graduate or Master level Degree in Economics, Business management or related field from a recognized institution.
- Bachelor’s degree in economics with more than 5 years of proven professional work experiences in similar roles from recognized institutions.
- Personal attributes to work collaboratively with senior staff and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft office tools and suites.
- Detailed oriented, attention to detail.
- Have superior understanding and knowledge of the role.
