Senior Sales Account Manager - Media Metro Outdoor Advertising
Media Metro is one of PNG’s fastest growing media advertising organizations and we have an opportunity for someone to experience the excitement of working in a high growth business. We are looking for a Senior Sales Account Manager, that will assist us in continuing along our high growth path that we have been able to achieve over the past 10 years. This role is responsible for managing an existing corporate and national advertiser customer list while also seeking out and working with new potential corporate advertisers. The role currently reports directly to the Managing Director.
We are looking for the following skills and attributes;
- You must have a tertiary level degree with a focus on business studies
- Minimum 5 years relevant and successful work experience in Senior Sales & Account Management roles
- Your past business experience will demonstrate a successful track record as a highly capable sales account manager in delivering results, via such traits of professionalism, attention to detail, competence in negotiating and presenting ideas, with an ability and confidence to close sales opportunities and secure business.
- You must be capable and confident, demonstrating past experince in developing close working and mutually beneficial relationships with other senior business marketing executives and partners that enhance the growth of each others business, while also achieving the sales results and targets of our own business.
- Your spoken and written English will be of a high standard, and you will be able to demonstrate your experience in communicating in English to a professional high level. You also must have a high level of experience using typical computer software - most of our computer work is done via emails and excel presentations, and high level competence with these software programs is essential.
- Your past experience and creative thinking will prove you have an ability to identify sales prospects, and create a strategy from planning a sales presentation through to a close.
- You’ll be expected to assist with internal staff and be one of the leaders of our business, including instigating meetings, setting sales goals, and ensuring that you can create productive, motivating work relationships with our staff, our landowner partners, our suppliers, and our clients.
- You will be required to demonstrate an ability to work autonomously, with discipline and be proactive in planning and managing the day to day selling activities of the business, including reaching into other associated areas of the business, especially related to advertising creative and production for the clients that you manage.
- A flexible and adaptable team oriented mindset is important within our business to ensure you can operate effectively and contribute across the various functional departments of our business as necessary eg: marketing, operations and admin requirements
- You may be required to travel to other parts of PNG for meetings, and be confident in navigating your way around the different regions. Such trips are most commonly either day trips or overnight trips.

- NOTE: You must have a full, clean, drivers licence and have been driving on a full licence for at least 3 years.
