The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Operations Manager – Physical Security to oversee and strengthen the physical security function for a well-established financial institution in Papua New Guinea.

This is a key operational role supporting the Head of Physical Security, responsible for managing day-to-day security operations, building a Cash-in-Transit (CIT) and armed security capability, and leading a large, multi-site security team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage security operations across multiple sites, ensuring guarding standards and operational efficiency
• Oversee and support a team of guards, supervisors, and shift supervisors, plus control room and crisis response teams
• Design and implement a CIT function with armed escort capability, including policies, procedures, and compliance
• Oversee control room (RSOC) operations and remote site monitoring
• Lead incident management, crisis response, and investigations
• Support the Head of Physical Security in developing strategy, operational improvements, and team capability
• Coordinate security logistics and transport operations as needed

About You

• Strong experience in security operations leadership across multi-site environments.
• Proven background in CIT, armed security, and high-risk environments
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop large, diverse teams
• Experienced in incident response, risk management, and security systems
• Comfortable operating hands-on at the operational level while supporting strategic initiatives
• Proven ability to develop processes and procedures, and deliver training to support strategic initiatives

Qualifications Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field
• Relevant professional certifications are a plus
• Training in crisis management, investigations, or risk management is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in security management
• Proven experience leading security operations across multiple sites
• Demonstrated experience in incident investigations, risk assessment, and security systems
• Familiarity with CIT/armed security operations and control room (RSOC) environments
• Strong team leadership and people management experience
