ABOUT THE ROLE

VirtualFlex is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer, to lead the implementation and deployment of mission-critical data center environments, ensuring high availability, scalability and security for our enterprise clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Infrastructure Deployment: End-to-end implementation of Data Center hardware, including servers, storage, backup/DR and networking components.
• Virtualization Excellence: Architect and deploy robust VMware environments (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi), Microsoft Hyper-v to optimize resource utilization.
• Microsoft Enterprise Services: Configure and manage Microsoft ecosystem solutions, including Active Directory, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, and Azure hybrid integrations.
• Next-Gen Computing: Design and implement Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) solutions (such as Nutanix/Dell VxRail/Scale Computing) to modernize client workloads.
• Documentation & Handover: Create comprehensive technical documentation, "as-built" manuals, and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for clients.
• Post-Deployment Support: Provide L2/ L3 technical escalation support for complex infrastructure issues.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field.
• Certification: Virtualization/Datacenter, Backup and Disaster recovery related certifications
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years hands on experience in Systems Engineering role.
• Technical Skills: T1 Server/Storage Hardware(DELL, HPE, Lenovo or Cisco), Virtualization(Vmware/Hyper-v), Strong proficiency in Windows Server (2019/2022), PowerShell scripting, and Microsoft 365 migrations.
• HCI Skills: Practical experience with Hyper-Converged platforms is a significant advantage.
• Attributes: Proven ability to manage project timelines and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Driving : Valid drivers license will be an added advantage.
