Position Summary

Looking for a reliable technician with experience in PLCs/control electronics, instrumentation and diesel piping to deliver installation and maintenance services for fuel management systems. Opportunity currently available in both Kimbe, WNB and Higaturu, Oro.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, commission, and maintain PLCs & instrumentation for fuel management systems.

• Carry out minor diesel fuel-line work: threaded fittings, hoses, pipework, pumps, filters and valves-install, repair and replace.

• Carry out preventive maintenance and fault diagnosis on deployed fuel management systems.

• Attend client sites for installation, servicing and breakdown response.

• Complete job documentation: test sheets, service reports, photo documentation.

• Work within Venturi's safety requirements and policies.

Requirements

Essential

• Trade qualifications or certifications in related fields.

• Hands-on experience installing and maintaining PLCs, instrumentation and/or control electronics.

• Able to read and work from schematics, P&IDs and loop/wiring drawings.

• Basic mechanical and plumbing aptitude for fuel-line work - fittings, hoses, pipework.

• Sound understanding of electrical safety and safe fuel handling.

• Valid or renewable driver's license.

Desirable

• PLC, HMI, instrumentation configuration (and basic programming/calibration)

• Experience with fuel systems and infrastructure.

• Communications like Modbus / networked devices, telemetry / IoT, remote support.

Attributes

• Methodical, diagnostic mindset; comfortable moving between electrical, electronic and mechanical work.

• Safety-conscious, particularly around fuel and energised systems.

• Reliable and able to work independently on site; good client manner and tidy documentation.
