About the Role:

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Shipping Administrator to join our Parts Operations team based in Port Moresby. The role primarily exists to coordinate all transport and logistic movements for PNG & Solomon Island with both imports and exports and to coordinate with brokers for export/import clearances.

Reporting to the Parts Operations Manager, PNG & Solomon Island, your skills and experience will include:

  • Ensure safety goals are achieved through personal commitment, no harm to self or others and participation in safety initiatives.
  • Ensure all shipping documents (imports/exports) are in order, cleared and delivered on time
  • All local and national shipping (import/export) rules and regulations are strictly followed
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, airway bills and customs declarations for all imports and exports.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with freight forwarders, shipping agents, courier services and transport providers.
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve delays or issues with carriers
  • Allocate sea and air freight invoices for payment
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities, including documentation filing, shipment tracking logs and delivery confirmations
  • Support logistics team with inventory movement documentation and data entry in ERP or logistics systems
  • Verify HS codes, duties, taxes and licensing requirements for international shipments
  • Comply with import/export regulations, customs requirements and dangerous goods regulations where applicable.

About You:

You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

  • Grade 12 School Certificate.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role or equivalent.
  • Previous exposure to import assessment, customs brockage and PNG Customs ASYCUDA system
  • Excellent computer knowledge, working with Microsoft Office.
