Summary

  • Responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the construction site team, including subcontractors, to ensure that the construction project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Report to the Construction Site Manager and will work closely with other stakeholders, such as architects, engineers, and project managers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the construction site team, including subcontractors, to ensure that the project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Review project plans and specifications and ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with these documents.
  • Ensure that all workers on the construction site comply with safety regulations, building codes, and other legal requirements.
  • Manage the procurement process, including purchasing and receiving materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Monitor the progress of the construction project and ensure that it is progressing according to schedule and budget.
  • Report progress to the Construction Site Manager and other stakeholders and address any issues or concerns that arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of all construction site activities, including time sheets, material usage, and subcontractor invoices.
  • Provide guidance and support to the construction site team and subcontractors as needed.
  • Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard of quality, and that all defects are identified and remedied promptly.
  • Participate in site meetings and other project-related meetings as required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in construction supervision, with a proven track record of managing successful construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry best practices, including safety regulations, building codes, and other legal requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of construction professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical drawings.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
