SNR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Portfolio of Projects team and provide technical leadership across major capital and sustaining capital projects at one of the world's largest copper and gold mining operations.

Reporting to the Manager, Portfolio of Projects, you will be responsible for the safe, compliant and cost-effective delivery of electrical engineering scope across HV and LV power distribution systems, electrical equipment, cable systems, project commissioning and hand-over activities. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary project teams while helping build local engineering capability through mentoring and technical leadership.

The successful applicant must possess the following attributes:

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum 8-10 years’ post graduate experience in mining, resources, utilities or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong experience in HV/LV power distribution, switchgear, transformers, protection systems, motors and cable engineering.
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects from design through to commissioning.
• IEPNG registration, or eligibility to obtain and maintain registration is essential.
• Experience with power system analysis software such as ETAP, DlgSILENT Power Factory or SKM is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
