SOFTWARE-SERVICE TEAM LEADER (KIMBE)

We are looking for a dynamic and driven Software / Service Team Leader to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional with strong knowledge of copier systems, CCTV, access controls, and software solutions, who thrives in a hands-on and leadership-oriented environment.

Job Summary

The Software-Service Team Leader is responsible for leading and supporting the delivery of IT software solutions and copier-related services. The role requires hands-on technical expertise in both hardware and software applications, combined with team leadership to ensure efficient service delivery, system reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Service Delivery

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for copier machines, software applications, and integrated IT solutions
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software solutions, document management systems, and networked devices
  • Coordinate and oversee service calls, system upgrades, and preventive maintenance activities
  • Ensure compliance with service standards, timelines, and quality requirements

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead, guide, and support the software/service team in daily operations
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring
  • Assist in training team members on new systems, software, and copier technologies
  • Escalate complex technical issues and coordinate with vendors or senior management when required

Customer & Stakeholder Support

  • Act as a point of contact for clients regarding software and service-related concerns
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and maintain strong client relationships
  • Prepare basic reports on service performance, system issues, and improvement areas

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in IT support, with hands-on knowledge of both copier systems and software applications
  • Experience in managing or leading a small technical or service team is an advantage
  • Knowledge of networking, system integration, and troubleshooting is highly desirable
  • Valid driver’s license

Company Description: Able started in Perth Western Australia in 1982 by Rick Kyle and Nick Taylor and moved to Papua New Guinea in 1984. In 1985, Able Computing (PNG) was incorporated by Geoff Lazberger with Rick/Nick and several others became individual shareholders in the company. Geoff Lazberger ran the company as CEO until 1989 when he left to return to Australia. The initial list of clients around the country used either accounting software CBA or Arrow. The company was awarded national distributorship for both CBA and Arrow and I had also built up a dealership with companies having large clients bases who’d be a target for our software (Deloitte, Coopers & Lybrand, Daltron, etc,)
