Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Painter to perform advanced painting tasks across various surfaces and environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in surface preparation, paint application techniques, and finishing, with a strong understanding of safety standards and quality control. This role requires precision, efficiency, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers.
• Apply paint, varnish, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Perform detailed and high-quality finishes on walls, ceilings, fixtures, and equipment.
• Mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and textures.
• Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Inspect completed work for quality and make necessary corrections.
• Collaborate with other trades and departments to coordinate painting schedules.
• Maintain records of work completed, materials used, and inventory levels.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a professional painter, preferably in a specialist or advanced role.
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Familiarity with safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Physical stamina and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with industrial or commercial painting projects.
• Knowledge of decorative finishes, epoxy coatings, or protective paints.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
