SGS PNG Limited is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Stock Inventory Officer to join our Assay Laboratory team at the Porgera Mine Site. This role is critical in ensuring efficient inventory management, safe storage practices, and the continuous availability of laboratory materials and consumables required for daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock control systems.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure data accuracy.
Supply Coordination & Replenishment
- Raise purchase requisitions and track orders.
- Coordinate timely delivery of stock and laboratory materials.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels to support operational requirements.
Storage & Chemical Handling
- Store and handle chemicals and laboratory reagents safely.
- Ensure compliance with MSDS requirements and site safety standards.
- Maintain orderly and secure storage facilities.
Operational Support
- Issue stock and monitor consumable usage.
- Support uninterrupted assay laboratory operations.
- Assist with inventory planning and stock forecasting.
Compliance & Reporting
- Adhere to SGS and site HSE requirements.
- Prepare inventory reports and documentation.
- Support internal and external audits.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in inventory, warehouse, or stock management.
- Experience working within mining, laboratory, or industrial environments is highly desirable.
- Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar inventory systems).
- Strong computer literacy and reporting skills.
- Current Forklift Licence (Mandatory).

Working Conditions
