About the Role:

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Store Person to join our Parts team based in Port Moresby.

The role primarily exists to pick, pack, store, and dispatch materials within the warehouse in a safe, efficient manner to meet contractual and business requirements.

Reporting to the Parts Manager Port Moresby, your competency, and experience will include:

• Ensure safety goals are achieved through personal commitment, no harm to self or others and participation in safety initiatives.
• Ensure opportunities for continuous improvement are identified and reported.
• Ensure customer expectations and service standards are understood and delivered with agreed timeframes.
• Maintain and maximize efficiency within the warehouse through the effective team participation of the put away and picking functions, ensuring system inventory accuracy and system targets are met or exceeded.
• Assist in the success of the warehouse function by participating in general warehouse activities including stock takes, maintenance, improvements, allocation of work directed from leading hand, administration, generation of information required for monthly reordering consumables and taking appropriate actions where required.
• Contribute to the provision of a safe working environment and minimize lost time and costs due to accident and injury by personally adhering to the Company’s occupational health, safety and environmental policies and programmes.
• Complies and maintains accurate and saleable inventory by regular cycle counts as per cycle count plan, recommending and arranging protection of inventory within budget constraints and establishing and adhering to inspection plan as per Hastings Deering guidelines.

About You:

You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

• Must have Grade 12 school certificate.
• Tertiary qualification in Business Administration or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the warehousing, computerized warehouse area utilizing an ERP based system, including safety, inventory control, receipting and dispatching.
• Excellent computer knowledge, working with Microsoft Office, Systems exposure to Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar.
