Islands Petroleum is an independently owned fuel and lubes distributor and the exclusive distributor for Mobil Fuel and lubricants in PNG. With the head office based in Kokopo Islands Petroleum operates bulk fuel depots in the NGI, Momase, Highlands, and Southern regions.

Storeman

We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Storeman to work within our Operations at our Port Moresby Depot. Reporting to the Depot Supervisor, provides necessary skill to ensure safe and efficient receipt, storage, and loading of Petroleum products into bulk tanks, tank trucks, and drums.

Key Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Receive and dispatch lubricant stock (drums, cartons, small packs, etc.)
• Update inventory records accurately (inbound and outbound)
• Maintain stock rotation and proper stacking in line with product handling standards.
• Conduct regular stock checks and report variances.
• Ensure proper labelling and packaging of products.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Assist in loading/unloading deliveries.
• Work closely with sales, delivery, and operations teams
• Report damaged or expired products.
• Follow all company safety procedures and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications and Experience

To succeed in this role, the successful candidate must have:

• Previous experience in warehouse or inventory management
• Physically fit and able to handle manual work.
• Must be honest, punctual, and organized.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Able to use inventory records (manual or basic Excel)
• Forklift license or experience is an advantage.
