About the Role
The Superintendent – Agriculture Projects is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring agricultural and agribusiness initiatives that enhance food security, diversify livelihoods, and create sustainable economic opportunities for local communities. These programs are a core part of K92’s social performance strategy and commitments under the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), ensuring long-term benefits for host communities.

Key Accountabilities
This position manages the Agricultural Development Programs Standard within the Social Performance Management System (SPMS) and oversees the material issue of Strategic Community Investment – Sustainable Livelihoods & Food Security. Responsibilities include:

• Leadership & Program Oversight – Supervise Agriculture Project Supervisors, set priorities, build capacity, and develop annual agriculture plans and budgets.

• Program Delivery & Standards – Oversee training programs, input distribution, irrigation and infrastructure development, and market access initiatives in line with the Agricultural Development Programs Standard.

• Sustainable Livelihoods & Food Security – Design and monitor programs that demonstrate measurable gains in productivity, income, and household food security, with a focus on climate resilience and sustainability.

• Collaboration & Partnerships – Work with government agencies, NGOs, research institutions, and local businesses to strengthen agricultural practices and value chains.

• Commitment & Expectation Management – Deliver MOA agricultural commitments, manage community expectations, and safeguard the company’s social licence to operate.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will have proven experience in agricultural project delivery within rural or community-based environments. You will also bring:

• Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related discipline.

• Sound experience in agricultural project design and management, ideally in PNG or similar rural contexts.

• Strong technical knowledge of crop and livestock production, agribusiness, and sustainable farming systems.

• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams and delivering results in culturally diverse environments.

• Culturally sensitive and respectful of traditional land use practices.
