As a Processing Supervisor – HGO, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the HGO Grinding Circuit and COS feeders and conveyors. Your leadership will directly influence safety standards, production outcomes, and team development within the processing department.

As Part of Our Team, You Will

• Lead by example in safety, conducting daily safety interactions and coaching.
• Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Facilitate pre-start meetings and effective shift handovers.
• Develop team members through coaching, feedback, and training.
• Participate in planning meetings and align team tasks with operational goals.
• Conduct regular inspections and report hazards or breakdowns.
• Manage work assignments, adjust priorities, and remove roadblocks.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, cost, and operational processes.

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role

• Solid demosntrated experience in a mining or processing supervisory role (essential).
• Certificates or tertiary qualifications in Metalliferous processing (highly regarded)
• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Solid understanding of PNG Mine Safety Act and Newmont’s safety/environmental policies.
• Advanced computer literacy (MS Office).
• PNG Class 6 Driver’s License.
• Proven ability to manage teams, solve problems, and deliver results under pressure.
