As Supervisor Reliability, you will play a critical leadership role in optimizing plant performance through proactive maintenance, process reliability initiatives, and continuous improvement. Your expertise will help maximize equipment availability, reduce operational risk, and support the delivery of safe and productive outcomes across our processing operations. Through your leadership, coaching, and technical capability, you will contribute directly to operational excellence and the ongoing success of our site.

As part of our team, you will

• Lead and coordinate the Asset Management – Reliability activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and operational efficiency.
• Monitor plant and process equipment reliability, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Drive compliance with safety standards, risk management processes, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate routine maintenance, inspections, and equipment calibration activities.
• Analyze reliability performance data and provide recommendations that improve uptime and productivity.
• Develop medium and long-term engineering plans to identify and remove equipment reliability risk.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of process and equipment issues in collaboration with maintenance and operational teams.
• Build strong working relationships with engineers, technicians, advisors, specialists, contractors, and service providers.
• Lead and develop team members by creating a positive, accountable, and high-performing work environment.
• Allocate work, provide coaching and feedback, and recognize strong performance.
• Champion a culture where people speak up, contribute ideas, and stop unsafe work

Prerequisites for your success in this role

• To be successful, you will bring:
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience leading a team of professionals in a technical challenging environment
• Proven track record in developing and implementing reliability improvement programs that navigate business risk and improve performance.
• Demonstrated experience in process safety management, mechanical systems monitoring, and preventative maintenance.
• Experience in a heavy industry, mining, minerals processing, manufacturing, or similar operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of risk management practices, engineering standards, and reliability improvement methodologies.
• Proven ability to analyze performance data, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Sound understanding of health, safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and build productive working relationships across multiple functions.
• An ability to balance operational priorities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

This role is offered on a 21:21 Fly-in, Fly-out (FIFO) roster to Lihir Island, Papua New Guinea.

Our FIFO employees stay in a secure and comfortable camp, with ensuite, air-conditioned accommodation equipped with Wi-Fi, television and a mini fridge. A variety of nutritious meal options are available through on-site catering facilities, while recreational and social amenities provide opportunities to relax and connect with colleagues while on roster.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams supporting one of the world's largest gold mining operations, contributing to safe, reliable and sustainable performance in a technically complex and globally significant mining environment.
