Sustainability Compliance Officer

Join Hargy Oil Palms Limited (HOPL) as a Sustainability Compliance Officer — a key role driving our sustainability objectives and ensuring continued compliance with RSPO standards.
About the Role
- The Sustainability Compliance Officer will:
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the RSPO management system to ensure continued compliance with RSPO Principles and Criteria for certification as a producer of certified Sustainable Palm Oil (SPO).
- Assist in planning, managing, coordinating, and monitoring HOPL’s sustainability activities.
- Provide advice and support to ensure ongoing compliance with RSPO.
- Advise on compliance with applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.
- Support departments with contractor compliance in operational services, ensuring adherence to legal requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement plans and procedures.
- Collaborate with relevant officers to develop and implement key management plans under PNG law.
- Maintain and support the RSPO management system to ensure compliance with the RSPO Supply Chain Certification Standard (RSPO SCCS).
- Conduct internal audits on RSPO SCCS and Principles & Criteria, compiling actionable reports to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of a degree in a relevant field of study.
- At least 5 years of experience in RSPO compliance.
- Strong teamwork skills and considerable communication abilities.
- A results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in computer literacy.
- Fluency in English and Tok Pisin.
- A valid driver’s license.
