TEACHING POSITIONS AVAILABLE – STARTING JANUARY 2026

(2 x Secondary Teaching Roles)

Hargy International School is a company-supported school offering education from Preschool through to Grade 12. Positions Available:

Year 9 / 10 HASS Teacher

  • Deliver engaging lessons across Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • Inspire curiosity in history, geography, civics, and related areas.

Year 11 / 12 History & Economics Teacher

  • Teach senior students with a focus on analytical and critical thinking.
  • Prepare students for external examinations and academic pathways beyond school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the prescribed curriculum to a high standard.
  • Advise the Administration of materials and resources required to effectively deliver consistently high-quality lessons.
  • Facilitate and co-ordinate students’ learning experiences while guiding and counselling them in proper behaviour and respect for all members of the school community.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, teaching programs, and progress.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate communication with parents and guardians regarding student welfare and academic development.


Qualifications & Experience


Essential Requirements:

  • Recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching at secondary level (Years 9–12).
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to diverse learning needs.
  • Commitment to student development, wellbeing, and academic excellence.


Desirable:

  • Experience delivering an International Curriculum based on ACARA (Australia).
  • Familiarity with the ACT Curriculum, which will be introduced to Year 11 as an optional pathway in 2026.
