Steamships Trading Company is in search of a highly capable, results-oriented professional to join our team as Team Lead – Application Support. This key role is responsible for delivering effective and continuous IT support across a range of systems, including Messaging, Workflows, Intranet, Business Applications Systems, and other software platforms.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. As the Team Lead – Application Support, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of business software applications and related processes across the organization. You will also lead and manage a technical support team on a daily basis, overseeing activities in areas including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure all office365 Applications are Operational and support requests allocated by the Helpdesk are completed in a timely and professional manner in Line with the SLA.
  • Ensure maintenance and monitoring of integrity of the computer systems for their proper functioning and unauthorized access, attacks, and damage.
  • Ensure Main application systems and company intranet are working to the optimal standards and being monitored and support provided as required.
  • And others.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical application support with understanding of Office 365 ecosystem and various software applications, database, and operating systems is essential.
  • Knowledge of local area network operations.

Qualifications and Key Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT/ or Computer Science with equivalent experience, particularly in Office 365 software and applications and power tools.
  • Exposure to Database Systems; Microsoft SQL sever.
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Clear and concise communications skills.
  • Ability to interpret, and analyses technical documentation.
  • Strong team player.
