Our Lihir operation in Mobile Fleet Maintenance is now recruiting for the position of Technical Specialist - Mechanical.

As a Technical Specialist, you will be a key contributor, providing advanced technical maintenance expertise and on-the-job diagnostic support, guidance, and training to our PNG National workgroup. Your role will be instrumental in supporting all planned and unplanned maintenance activities within our on-site D10 / D11 Dozers, 993/992K Loaders, and 18M Graders,

The ideal candidate should hold a Trade Certificate – Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent with 5 years post trade experience in mobile fleet maintenance within an expansive mining operation This extensive background is crucial for delivering effective on-the-job training and plays a pivotal role in guaranteeing optimal equipment availability and reliability.

Skills and Experience

• Experience with CAT systems including VIMS, SIS, ET.

• High level of initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in an overseas environment in challenging conditions.
• Strong work ethic

• Previous Caterpillar OEM dealership experience will be highly regarded.
