Technical Writer – Aviation Compliance Manual

Location: Remote/On-site

Employment Type: Project-based- This is a 3-month project-based role with a possibility of extension based on requirements.

Reporting To: General Manager

Role Overview:

Detail-oriented and experienced Technical Writer.

Background in aviation compliance, logistics, or regulatory documentation to development and completion of our company’s Operational and Security Manual is a Bunos.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the review, writing, editing, and completion of the CAL Operational and Security Manual.
• Ensure the manual is fully compliant with CASA Part 109 and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Adapt existing templates and content to reflect CAL’s actual operational processes and strategic goals.
• Work closely with Operations, Compliance, Security, etc.) to gather accurate information.
• Organize and integrate supporting documents (e.g., procedures, flowcharts, checklists).
• Maintain clear version control and documentation of changes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience writing security/compliance manuals
• Exceptional technical writing and editing skills.
• Ability to translate complex regulations and operational procedures into clear, user-friendly documentation.
• Experience working with logistics, aviation, or regulated environments.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree or certification Technical Writing, or related field.
• Previous experience with CASA assessments or compliance audits.
• Knowledge of international cargo handling and security clearance procedures.
