Credit Corporation PNG is recruiting a suitable candidate for the role of Technology Risk Specialist.

The Technology Risk Specialist is responsible for conducting risk- analysis and reporting of information obtained from multiple sources such as system generated transactions, IT monitoring applications and other risk registers.

The Technology Risk Specialist will collaborate with the relevant business units within Credit Corporation as part of the second line risk function ensuring that technology risk controls are embedded and tested to be operating effectively.

The role reports into the Head of Enterprise Risk Management and acts as a risk business partner to the IT team. The role is based in Port Moresby.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Help oversee and implement risk mitigation programs, controls and governance in relation to technology risk
• Regularly undertake reviews of IT risks to ensure the IT risk register is current and reflective of the business environment
• Undertake 2nd line control tests to ensure effectiveness and works with the first line to remediate where needed
• Manage IT Risk Appetite Statements reporting in collaboration with the IT team
• Report on issues and execute governance programs to ensure actions are closed within deadlines
• Investigate, escalate and report IT related incidents ensuring the identified control gaps are remediated
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure disaster recovery readiness from a second line perspective
• Provide advisory to stakeholders on IT risk management practices
• Provide IT risk reporting to management and the board as required
• Operate as second line defense to ensure technology risk is managed within appetite
• Coordinate enterprise-wide IT risk awareness programs
• Collaborate with the IT team for the management of IT related policies and procedures

Key Overall Competencies

• Must have a bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or IT risk related discipline

Formal Qualifications

Mandatory:

• Bachelor's degree in IT or Computing Science
• IT or Information security risk management certification advantageous – CRISC, CISA, CISM, ISACA etc

Knowledge required:

• Banking or risk reporting knowledge
• Prior IT governance or risk reporting experience is desirable
• Advanced MS Excel and proficiency with other data management tools
• Experience with Protecht system advantageous
• Knowledge of risk and data governance fundamentals

Experience:

• Minimum 3yrs in risk management, Information Technology or compliance
• Banking, IT or risk reporting experience is advantageous
• Sound knowledge of Technology and Cyber security regulations and industry standards
• Advanced MS suite skills and proficiency with data management tools
• Experience with developing and reviewing policies
• Prior experience in banking or finance is an advantage
• Knowledge of cloud technologies is an advantage
• Self-starter and experience working across teams and stakeholders
• Prior experience working with IT risk and governance policies desirable
• Prior experience in IT projects advantageous
