TIG WELDER

Reporting to the Fabrication Workshop Manager & Fabrication Workshop Superintendent, the successful incumbent will need to have experience in TIG welding stainless and aluminum as well as experience with MIG welding processes and various grinding tools.

Use gas tungsten arc equipment as part of the Fabrication process. Install or repair metal components

To be successful in this role, you must have the following:

• Minimum of Grade 10 Qualification;
• Have a MFW Trade certificate through a formal apprenticeship training program certified by the NATTB.
• Knowledgeable in both TIG and MIG Welding preferred
• Coded welder.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in welder supervision or similar role;
• Able to read blueprints or technical schematics
• Strong attention to detail in order to ensure the quality of each weld
• Ability to work with minimum supervision at all times;
• Demonstrate good workmanship, good understanding of, and compliance with, good safety practices.
