Trade Assistant – Fixed Plant Maintenance

The New Porgera Limited is now inviting expressions of interest to join our Fixed Plant Maintenance Team as a Trade Assistant, a technical development initiative designed to help grow into competent technical professionals within our diverse operations at Porgera.

Following are the Trade Assistant roles with Fixed Plant Maintenance:

• Maintenance Fitting & Machining

• Metal Fabrication & Welding

• Belt Splicing

About You

• To succeed in this role, the motivated young man and women who have.
• Completed technical training at a recognized institution with National Certificates (1,2 & 3) or similar
• Participated in a Job Ready Program and previously attached with Fixed Plant Maintenance.
• Worked or been working as Trade Assistant and wish to advance their careers.

• Updated Curriculum Vitae
• Certified copies of educational qualifications and trade certificates
• Police clearance certificate (issued within the last 6 months)

Mobilization Requirements

• All applicants must have an up-to-date police clearance certificate, obtained within the last 6 months
• Ability to successfully pass a Pre - employment medical and drug and alcohol test
• Be a Local Porgeran (Cat 1, Cat 2 or Cat 3) Candidate and be available to start immediately
• The Roster is 14 days on and 7 days off
