Tradesman – Refrigeration Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and motivated HVAC&R Tradesmen to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. This role requires strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and a customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC&R systems including split systems, ducted units, chillers, cool rooms, and ventilation systems.
• Diagnose faults and perform troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical components.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns.
• Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Complete job documentation, service reports, and timesheets accurately.
• Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition.
• Participate in after-hours emergency service as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Trade qualification in HVAC&R or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and control systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Attributes:

• Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) and automation controls.
• Familiarity with energy-efficient systems and sustainability practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
