TRADESMAN ELECTRICIAN

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Tradesman Electrician to install, maintain, inspect, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment within our workshop and project operations. The successful candidate will deliver quality workmanship while maintaining strict compliance with workplace safety standards. This role reports to the Workshop Manager – Fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
• Set up switchgear, distribution boards, control panels, and wiring systems.
• Conduct electrical testing, diagnostics, fault-finding, and preventative maintenance.
• Service and maintain motors, transformers, breakers, and associated equipment.
• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
• Perform insulation resistance, continuity, and phase rotation testing.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and carry out timely repairs.
• Adhere to electrical safety regulations, Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.

Requirements

• Minimum Grade 10 Certificate.
• Recognised Tradesman Certificate in Electrical
• Current Electrician’s Licence
• Minimum three (3) years' experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience with single-phase and three-phase systems
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in physically demanding environments.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
