TRAINING DEVELOPMENT SUPERINTENDENT

HBS PNG LIMITED currently operates in numerous mine sites across PNG, both on the mainland and remote island locations. We own and operate one of the largest and best maintained mining fleets in PNG, offering the mining sector a variety of services including road construction, maintenance, haulage, lighting, crushing services and plant equipment hire.

We are taking expressions of interest for highly and suitably qualified individuals for the position of Training Development Superintendent. Applicants must have experience within the mining and construction fields.

This role will involve:

• Lead the development of long-term training strategies aligned with HBS Group priorities.
• Work closely with HR department and project managers to identify skills gaps and create customised development programs.
• Review, update and use training packages and accredited courses to facilitate internal trainings,
• Facilitating the delivery of specialised training by an external provider.
• Analysing current training methods and identifying areas for improvement.
• Setting training objectives, track progress, measure impact, and continuously improve the training process.
• Champion the culture of compliance, and continuous development across HBS Group.

The Candidate must have:

• Minimum of Diploma in HR, Education, Business or related field,
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• Minimum of at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and competency-based training.
• Valid PNG Driver’s License, Classes 4, 6 and 7
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Advance level in MS Office package
• Ability to work to meet tight deadlines on multiple tasks
