TRAINING SUPERINTENDENT - ASSET
HBS PNG LIMITED currently operates in numerous mine sites across PNG, both on the mainland and remote island locations. We own and operate one of the largest and best maintained mining fleets in PNG, offering the mining sector a variety of services including road construction, maintenance, haulage, lighting, crushing services and plant equipment hire.
We are taking expressions of interest for highly and suitably qualified individuals for the position of Training Superintendent - Asset. Applicants must have experience within the mining and construction fields.
This role will involve:
- Prepare and propose the asset training budget and submit the draft to senior management for review and approval.
- Develop, review, and implement asset training and assessment procedures to ensure they align with the training process improvements implemented at asset sites.
- Liaise with Project Managers, Site Maintenance Managers/Superintendents, and Asset Training Coordinators to provide TNAs that align with the existing asset/trades competency and training matrix.
- Develop training programs in liaison with Asset Operations Managers and Site Maintenance Superintendents to ensure training meets AMG operational requirements
- Develop and review requirements for training resources, coordinating both internal and external providers to deliver programs in accordance with approved asset training plans.
- Develop and review asset and trades training modules and assessment tools to maintain quality standards that meet project site requirements.
- Review and analyze site asset training plans and schedules to ensure the effective actualization of approved targets.
- Prepare and review weekly and monthly training reports and strategic plans for submission to the Technical Training Manager, providing detailed updates on an agreed schedule
- Establish and develop technical training facilities and workshops to provide high-quality asset and trades training programs.
- Establish and develop technical competencies for asset personnel, ensuring development agendas and progress updates are available on the online training database.
- Deliver face-to-face training programs for AMG personnel and other business lines as part of a professional development approach to maintain instructional excellence.
The Candidate must have:
- Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years experienced in heavy equipment industry; especially maintenance training area
- Has strong exposure to develop maintenance trainers; training program of heavy equipment maintenance
- Able to create own training programs (modules/assessment) for sustainable maintenance traineeship
- Computer literate and good command in English both verbal & written
- Good leadership skills and teamwork
