Training Supervisor – Asset Management

HBS PNG LIMITED currently operates in numerous mine sites across PNG, both on the mainland and remote island locations. We own and operate one of the largest and best maintained mining fleets in PNG, offering the mining sector a variety of services including road construction and maintenance, haulage, lighting and crushing services and plant equipment hire.

We are taking expressions of interest for highly and suitably qualified individuals for the position of Training Supervisor – Asset Management. Applicants must have experience within the mining and construction fields.

This role will involve:

• Planning, designing, and developing tailored training packages on workshop maintenance and technical skills based on training needs analysis (TNA),
• Ensuring continuous evaluation and improvement of the package based on participants feedback, and operational requirements,
• Use training packages and accredited courses to conduct competency-based assessment for trades personnel (Heavy Equipment Fitters, LV Mechanics, Welders, Trade Assistants),
• Reinforcing preventive maintenance, planning, and workshop operational standards,
• Supporting the use of maintenance system such as EOMS and CMMS for work orders, reporting, and asset tracking,
• Facilitating the delivery of specialised training by an external provider,
• Analysing current training methods and identifying areas for improvement,
• Setting training objectives and assessing progress to evaluate training effectiveness while ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance standards.

The Candidate must have:

• Minimum of Grade 12 certificate,
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment,
• Minimum of at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role,
• Strong hands-on experience in equipment servicing, major repairs, diagnostics, and fault finding,
• Experience in training, coaching, or assessing trade personnel in a workshop environment,
• Working knowledge of EOMS/CMMS Systems and maintenance practices,
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills,
• Advance level in MS Office package,
• Ability to work to meet tight deadlines on multiple tasks,
