The Vanimon Airport Operations is seeking for a candidate for the following positions based in Vanimo Airport.

1. Ramp Officer - VANIMO

2. Cargo Officer - VANIMO

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Position is responsible to the Airport Manager for but not limited to:

Ramp Officer Duties

• Attending daily briefings
• Preparing equipment for arriving and departing aircraft
• Assist the Customer Service team with passengers with Special Needs
• Being responsible for maintaining a safe working environment
• Loading and unloading of aircraft as per instructions given by the Airport Manager
• Delivery of baggage to passengers, handling special items with due care
• Recognising and handling of dangerous goods

Cargo Officer Duties

• Correctly handling and loading of animals and special loads
• Report any Safety or Security occurrences to the Customer Service Supervisor / Airport Manager.
• Adhere to SOPs
• Attention to detail
• Proper record keeping for cargo movements/consignement for both incoming and outgoing
• Properly arranging, sorting and storing cargo
• Meeting cargo operations requirement

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES

• • Preferably minimum Grade 12 Certificate or Higher can be of advantage
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience preferably in airlines industry or similar environment
  • PNG Drivers licence
  • Work place health and safety understanding
  • Sober habits and flexible
  • Can work under minimun supervision
  • Display a sound understanding of customer service responsibilites in the aviation industry.
  • Hard working, trustworthy and results oriented/focused.
  • Computer literate: proficient in MS software (MS Word, MS Excel).
