Consort Express Lines, part of the Steamships Logistics Division, is an equal opportunity employer. We are seeking to recruit dynamic, self-disciplined, knowledgeable, experienced and qualified Vessel Planner.

Purpose of the Role

To ensure safe stowage of cargo while seeking to optimise vessel utilisation and increase productivity.

Requirements

• Minimum certificate as Deck Officer of the Watch (OOW)
• Good understanding of vessel stability criteria and safety requriements during loading and unloading of cargo.
• Experience with coastal vessels including tugs and landing craft.
• Three years or more experience in vessel/ port operations or stevedoring duties.
• Experience with a cargo documentation management platform, such as Cargo wise system, and softship is an advantage.
• High level of planning, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work meeting tight deadlines, under pressure and in difficult situations.
