Summary

Serve guests, take orders, deliver food and drinks, and keep the floor running well.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet/seat; explain menu; note allergies; upsell specials.
  • Take orders accurately; send to kitchen/bar; serve on time.
  • Check-backs; handle bills and payments; clear/reset tables.
  • Solve guest issues quickly; escalate to Manager when needed.
  • Keep service areas tidy; follow hygiene and safety steps.

Job Requirements

  • 1+ year FOH service preferred.
  • POS basics; clear English/Tok Pisin; neat grooming.
  • Customer-first mindset; can work nights/weekends.
  • Grooming & Hygiene (FOH): clean uniform (spare shirt), daily shower & deodorant, fresh breath, no strong scents, hair neat/tied, short clean nails, minimal jewellery, closed non-slip shoes; no gum; no smoke/vape odour. Manager may stand you down to correct.

  • Hours & breaks per PNG law
  • Alcohol service rules apply where relevant; follow ID/age checks.
  • Reports to: Restaurant Manager / Floor Supervisor.
