Warehouse & Logistics Superintendent

Hargy Oil Palms Limited (HOPL) company is seeking a highly capable and results-driven Warehouse & Logistics Superintendent to lead and oversee our Central Stores warehouse and logistics operations based in Bialla.

This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring efficient inventory management, safe warehouse operations, and reliable transport coordination to support estate and mill operations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Department – Purchasing & Stores, the Warehouse & Logistics Superintendent will oversee daily warehouse activities and logistics coordination within a medium-sized operation. The successful candidate will lead supervisors and warehouse teams to ensure operational excellence, cost control, safety compliance, and high service standards.

• Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and safety regulations
• Optimize warehouse layout, workflow efficiency, and resource utilization
• Coordinate inbound and outbound transport scheduling with freight providers
• Maintain high inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stocktakes
• Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions
• Lead, coach, and manage warehouse supervisors and team leaders
• Monitor operational KPIs including inventory accuracy, on-time dispatch, productivity, freight costs, and safety performance
• Assist in managing budgets and controlling operational expenditures within delegated authority

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related discipline (preferred)
• 5–8 years’ experience in warehouse and logistics operations
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent-level role
• Experience managing medium-sized teams
• Strong knowledge of WMS/ERP inventory systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Sound understanding of transport and freight coordination
• Valid PNG Driver’s License.
