We currently have a vacancy for a Warehouse Manager (LAE) to join our already strong and effective Warehouse Team in LAE. This role will be reporting to the Warehouse Manager. The successful incumbent will manage the staff of the warehouse to safely deliver the optimum service level performance for the most cost effective outcome.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting adequate target values for warehousing service and cost KPIs and keep continuously tracked KPIs close to the target values by: - Ensuring a structured continuous improvement approach based on the application of Tools and the implementation of Best Practices
- Implementing, monitoring and managing Safety, Health and Environment, Quality and CARE regulations and Best Practices
- Managing the labor in the DC - Solving adequately any occurring issue in DC operations
- Ensure an adequate level of flexibility of structures and processes: - To meet ad-hoc customer requirements or to deal with unexpected warehouse disruption
- To adapt to changes in the logistics and/or market environment
- Drive cost saving initiatives to improve performance and cost of the warehouse operation. Also ensure the correct construction, control and management of the budget
- Selection of the right people, constant engagement, motivation and management of the team
- Ensure maintenance of the building, warehouse equipment and security
- Maintain Inventory Accuracy at a 100% at warehouse
- Ensure timely reporting of Stock on Hand Report, End of Day Report, Freshness Report, aging repot and Open STO/DO report and Pending delivery reports
- Understands and Drive FIFO in a FMCG Setting and ensure compliance in all relatable Policy and SOP in place

- Actively comply with Safety WALK’s and TALK’s according to the schedule
- Wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment required in designated areas (100% compliance)
- Comply with all safety, quality and Goodman Fielder policies and practices.

Experience / Qualifications Required
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business & Management
- 5+ Years in Managerial/Supervisory / stock management Role (SAP Based)
- Effective use of data gathering and Analysis tools. Review of data and execution of performance improvement (Strong Excel Skills)
- Continuous Improvement mentality, strategies and passion / Root Cause resolution Mindset
- Works well under pressure, and operational / time constraints to deliver best possible service at all times. Process Driven
- Good time management skills
- Team Player - Able to work cross functionally and engage varying stakeholders
- Experience in working with diverse culture and developing relationships quickly (essential)
- Must understand the end to end process of the supply chain within FMCG
